Útsöluvaktin monitors discounts on Icelandic webstores, offering users SMS notifications when products drop in price. Fake discounts are aggregated and flagged to inform the user of previous lower prices or never-ending discounts which aren't permitted by law.
This is an experiment in fully coding a project with LLMs, mostly Opus 4.7 and 4.8, leaving the poor admin to merely sample the data for errors. The AI automatically logs scraper faults and hotfixes them if they fail repeatedly.
Scraper creation and fixing are automated processes, utilizing Claude's API, taking only a URL as input.
