Kotodo is a task manager that runs entirely on your device by default. No sign up needed, all yours. And because everything lives locally it works fully offline, adding and editing tasks and projects, the whole app works. You sign up only when you want sync across devices or to share projects with others.
Adding a task uses natural-language processing and some simple shorthands, so typing "Fix bug tomorrow @bob #urgent" picks up the due date, assignee, and tag. Projects come as a list, kanban board, or week grid. There's also a calendar and linked markdown notes, both still in beta. It's keyboard-friendly, with shortcuts throughout and a command palette, installs as a PWA, and comes with two themes, each in light and dark.
Built local-first with Jazz handling the on-device storage and sync, on top of Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind. Passkeys instead of passwords. A side project that got a bit out of hand, and now I use it every day.
